Triceps get no love, and when they jiggle, it’s easy to see why.
Strengthening the triceps is an important part of the Modus weights sequence. In case you were wondering why, hold your arm up and wave.

Going beyond the aesthetics of it all, triceps are an Achilles’ heel for many of us, even though they make up at least 2/3 of our upper arm’s muscle mass.
Unlike the eye-catching bicep, triceps are hidden. They are tiny, supportive muscles and require deliberate movements. They are a lot harder to access and work.
Ergo, we work them, and here’s why:
• Strong triceps are necessary for every pushing movement and some pulling movements, too.
• If yours are weak, it will be more difficult for you to effectively train other parts of your upper body, like your shoulders.
• Deficiencies in smaller muscle groups – like the triceps – mean the bigger muscles have to work harder, draining your energy faster.
And yes, there’s that jiggle, too, which strong triceps will eventually stop.
I know what you’re thinking: “But Megan, we already work our arms so much with pushups and planks, why kill ourselves with the triceps series?”
The answer? You’ll just have to wave me down sometime to figure that one out.
