During the morning you might find it hard to get breakfast in. You may be rushing to get ready for work, get kids ready for school, and by the time 11am rolls around, you start to crash. You brain may feel foggy, and it may seem hard to focus on work. Sound familiar? Maybe it’s time to look into having breakfast.

Breakfast is crucial for top performance at work, and for your fitness gains. By having breakfast, you break the fasting that you had throughout the night. That’s how it got its name-Breakfast! Breaking the fast can help restore glycogen, provide fuel for proper brain and body function, speed up your metabolism, and can even help crush those cravings later in the day leading you one step closer to your fitness goals! Think of your body as a dry sponge in the morning-when you wake up, feed it proper nutrition of proteins, fats, and carbs, your body will quickly absorb it. So grab a cup of coffee, sit down, and enjoy breakfast!

Overnight protein oats
       1/4 cup rolled oats
•       1/2 cup almond milk
•       1/2 scoop any flavor protein powder
•       1/4 banana, cut
•       1 Tbsp. chia seeds
•       1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon

1. Combine all ingredients in small jar.
2. Place in refrigerator overnight.
