Meet The Team

Shauna Beekman
As of 1/1/2026, Shauna is now the owner of Modus+. Thankfully, she follows in the footsteps of Megan Madion and Lindsay Hale. It is an honor to be able to bring Modus+ to Traverse City.
Shauna has always led a very active life and was a marathon runner for about 20 years. She loves barre, Pilates, yoga and all things ballet and dance. With age, she continues to stay very active knowing that this is the number one priority if the goal is aging well.
The mission of the studio is to create a space where every body can join and move their body in the way that suits them. Through this we will create a community and a warm welcoming environment where students can feel like Modus+ is their second home.
Shauna loves everything about living in Traverse City and feels as though she finally found home since moving to TC in 9/24. She lives with her husband, Michael and two cats, Richard and Willie Nelson. They have three adult children who they love dearly. She has a passion for spending time with seniors, dining at all of our wonderful restaurants, and watching the Denver Nuggets. There is a pretty good chance you will find her in a cat shirt, especially during the holidays. She is the ultimate girls' girl.

Megan Madion
Megan Madion founded M45 in 2011, inspired by her own journey of recovery and resilience. After a serious bike crash in 2007, Megan rebuilt her body through targeted, stabilizing movements that strengthened the small muscles often overlooked in traditional training. Those same movements became the foundation of what is now the M45 method.
An avid athlete and driven career professional, Megan designed M45 to support a strong, balanced, and sustainable body—one that can keep doing the things it loves. She credits the M45 approach with enabling her to continue enjoying alpine and

Barbara Sennrich
Barbara discovered intenSati upon moving to New York City in 2014. A
lifelong athlete, she never planned to teach fitness, but immediately
recognized intenSati as more than a workout—it was a way to train both body and mindset. She became certified in 2015 and has been teaching ever since. Barbara’s classes are physically challenging, high-energy, and intentional, designed to push strength, stamina, and focus while staying deeply connected to purpose. Beyond the studio, Barbara owns a boutique change consulting firm, where she uses intenSati principles to help individuals and organizations navigate constant change with resilience and clarity. Originally from Switzerland, Barbara now lives in Williamsburg, MI with her husband, Jeremy.

Grace Clutts
Grace danced at Dance Arts Academy for 16 years and has taught for 2 1/2 years. She was classically trained in ballet for about 10 years which made her love for ballet grow stronger. She taught kids from ages 4-15 and had the opportunity of teaching them ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, and lyrical. She had the wonderful opportunity to choreograph a musical for Glen Lake High School. After taking a break, she is ready to teach adults the beauty what ballet offers. This is for anyone looking to start a new art form or getting back into it with the basics! She can’t wait to meet you all and share the love of dance!

Kerry Marsh
Kerry has always loved living a very active lifestyle, and through the years has enjoyed a vast array of physical activities from Pilates and yoga to hiking, biking, running, horseback riding, and many things in between. During college, she worked at a fitness studio and taught aerobics, and for the past 10 years, has been an instructor at Modus, a bar-inspired fitness studio in Traverse City, Michigan.
Recently, along with her husband Mike, Kerry embarked on the road to better mobility. Kerry, like many individuals as they age, started to notice that even though she was physically active, she was experiencing limitations in her range of motion, especially in her hips. As an avid equestrian, the tightness in her hips started to interfere with her ability to connect with her horse. Especially, with the beautiful style of horse training called dressage. She realized that if she wanted to continue, she needed to learn how to gain more flexibility. Recently, along with her husband Mike, Kerry embarked on the road to better mobility. She met with a physical therapist initially, and from there, attended and completed the Applied Functional Science certification through the Grey Institute in Chicago. Kerry will also be completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training through Yen Yoga in Traverse City, Michigan this spring, 2025. Kerry has taken all components from her various training disciplines to design a Mobility class that focuses on strength, balance, and increasing range of motion.
She loves sharing with others what has worked for her, so we can enjoy moving and doing all the things we all love to do.

Mollee Fishaw
With 11 years in the industry nothing brings me more joy then to help people learn to love their bodies, to know their bodies and to find movement that they enjoy doing. I have a passion for creating a fun and educational environment that each time we roll out our mats we leave feeling better than when we came in. We learn to connect with our body, our breath and our mind. A community is the most important aspect I have found when it comes to your fitness goals and journey.
